Faculty Chamber Music Recital

Dear Suzuki Families,

I am delighted to tell you that our amazing faculty is going to play a concert….just for you!

It has been several years since our team of expert teachers and performers have had the opportunity to play together. Parents, there is nothing more inspiring for your young performer than to see their very own teacher on the stage playing together with their colleagues.

Our program will be tailored to the audience of our student body. We will hear a string quartet comprised of our Chamber Music Camp Faculty, Maeve O’Hara, Victoria Szczepaniak, Ryan Caparella and Alex Revoal, performing the Emily Mayer String Quartet. Husband and wife duo Sherri and Jason Deroche comprise “10 Strings” a combination of violin and guitar and they will perform a piece by the Argentinian composer Astor Piazzolla. Another husband and wife duo, Emily and Patrick Connolly will perform a Violin Duo Sonata by J.M. LeClaire. Ms. Elizabeth will perform a solo work for piano AND play viola in our faculty string orchestra.

The string orchestra is made up of our entire faculty will perform William Grant Still’s lovely piece “Mother and Child” and the stunning John Rutter “Suite for String Orchestra.”

The concert will take place in the Sanctuary of the First Congregational Church of Western Springs, 1106 Chestnut St. Western Springs, IL.

The concert will be on Saturday, March 26th at 6:00 PM. Admission is free!

You will find YouTube videos of both of the orchestra pieces here:

We hope you can join us for this special evening!

Sincerely,

Edward Kreitman

Director
